- CFMOTO makes quite an impression on Spanish soil by forcing their way into a multi-rider fight for the win, as Xavi Artigas pushes all the way to the flag for 7th place
- Artigas brings CFMOTO the 5th place in the world championship standings
- The CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP team welcomes Joel Kelso back to the pit box after the Australian rider recovered from injury
- On the calendar, MotoGP heads to Le Mans in two weeks for round five.

CFMOTO Racing PruestelGP was eager for more competition at Jerez and at the end of the crucial afternoon session, CFMOTO banked positions in 9th (Artigas, and just 0.6 of a second from Pole Position) and 12th (Kelso) on the grid for Sunday’s 19-lap Grand Prix.

Between Artigas in 5th and Daniel Holgado at the top of the championship standings, there is a gap of 18 points.

Xavier Artigas: “Overall I’m quite happy because we ran at the front the whole race and right until the end. I was sliding a bit under acceleration but there wasn’t too much I could do. The feeling on the bike and from the chassis was great from the work we did this weekend. The last lap was hectic and I suffered with a couple of the overtaking moves. Anyway, we’re strong and I know we can be again in Le Mans. We need to work in the same way, and be fast each session to build up to the race. I’m happy with the bike and we’ll continue to get better. I think I can be strong in this championship, I feel I have a small ‘plus’, and if I can keep pushing in this direction then we’ll do well.”
